About this place
For a taste of several kinds of kushiage, start with the assorted skewer set. The 10-skewer set costs 1,600 yen, while 15 skewers cost 2,400 yen—an easy choice if you are unsure what to order. The selection ranges from seafood such as shrimp, scallops and pufferfish to vegetables including lotus root and asparagus, as well as creative combinations such as cheese-stuffed chikuwa and curry lotus root. You could alternate lighter choices with skewers offering a more unusual pairing.
Some diners have commented that the coating is crisp and the skewers do not feel too greasy. One person who enjoyed the shrimp skewer noted that it came with the head and roe, offering the chance to savour the shrimp miso as well. Kamameshi is another option if you would like something beyond skewers. Scallop kamameshi costs 1,100 yen, and the shrimp and scallop version costs 1,400 yen; both take 30 minutes to cook. Allow time for the rice to finish while you enjoy the skewers.
Draft beer is one possible pairing, and red and white wines are available by the glass. The restaurant is also presented as suitable for dining solo, making it an option for a relaxed evening meal.
